Quarantine Discovery

During these months that we're all stuck at home, we find ways to fill all the extra time we have now like those times that we used to spend sitting in traffic, do you still remember that? I know I should do more physical activities, and I promise myself that I will, but during this time I discovered adult coloring. Can you believe that? When the doodle was trending, I knew people who did that, but that did not interest me, since I lack any artistic talent. It's curious though that coloring did not interest me as a child, so it's truly strange to think that I'd be interested in the hobby now. But I find my brain can rest when I color and it gives me a sense of peace.

My grasp at color combination and color scheme still lacking the oomph that I see samples online, still I want to share a few of my completed works.

At the very start I was using colored pencils; recently though I found how cute these gel pens are and now I'm obsessed with them too. The fact that gel refills are generally affordable only adds to my enjoyment of this hobby.

How about you? What keeps you sane during this insane period in our time?

  1. Thanks for sharing, the colours are lovely. I haven't tried it but will look for the books. My son hated colouring or painting as a child but he is an artist now! I could never understand why.

  4. I love your coloring examples. I did a little of it years ago and really liked it. I discovered blogging and social media so that is how I spend my extra time now plus I try and get outside every day. I have painted a few rocks and I think I may take up coloring again.
