Weekend Warriors
Just to put a little change in our daily routine during this prolonged stay-at-home order, we have taken to doing a short drive to nearby places on the weekend. We can't do it every Saturday because there's plenty of chores that require our attention. Last week, we were in Half Moon Bay and a month ago we drove to Bodega Bay. That Saturday was blessed with great weather - blue skies, sunny and a tad chilly, but perfect.
Bodega Bay is about an hour's drive away and the perfect day trip destination. It's a puzzle why it's not the first spot we think of when we need fresh air. This trip has changed that I believe.
Here are some of the photos we took from that short visit.
We stopped for coffee across from the church and decided to photograph it again and the back of the school too, which is familiar to you if you are fans of the classic movie, the Birds.
It is a popular destination so it's always crowded. On the day that we were there we were caught in traffic jam which is a common sight around here during the weekend. We are planning on doing a return visit soon. Hopefully we'll get another sunny, blue-sky day.
Great that you are getting out and great photos

I believe you have to go there more often. It seems to be a very good place to relax in :)
ReplyDeleteTake care!
Such pretty scenes.
ReplyDeleteGreat place to wander. The movie sticks in the minds of many but I didn't realize the location where it was shot was so very pretty.
ReplyDeleteWell it doesn't look crowded but I can see why people might flock there if they are into The Birds!
ReplyDeletecute little church... love it.

We loved our visit there the summer before last (back in the good old days when travel was what we did). As you know, It’s a bit more than a day trip for us ))). Gorgeous pictures.
