Immersive Van Gogh

For my birthday this year, I asked the husband to take me to see the Immersive Van Gogh exhibit in San Francisco. The combination of art and technology is masterfully done, making it an enjoyable presentation. We bought tickets for a 9:30 am show - too early I know but it is still Covid times and we think early showtimes would get fewer people. There were few people in the early part of the show, but people started trickling in halfway through. Naturally, I took a ton of photos and I'm ready to share them with you here. Have you seen the exhibit? What do you think? I believe this is a traveling exhibit and is available in the San Diego area early next year. I know because my friend from San Diego is interested in going too.

  5. Just 2 days ago my lifelong friend took me to Adelaide's (South Australia) Van Gogh Alive exhibition (as a "emerging from quarantine" gift) - which was a variation of your experience it seems. What an exhilarating, sensory and auditory experience - just loved it. I can heartily recommend attending any such exhibitions should they come your way - you won't regret it!

  8. We went to the show at the Dali Museum in St Pete, Fl back in February. You captured the experience and pictures very well. There was no place to sit at the Dali, and it was way more crowded than yours. A friend saw the show in Atlanta last month, and it too was different. My guess is it all depends on the museum and its space.
