Iceland & Greenland Cruise (August) 2024: Day 2 - Sea Day

Day 2 was not supposed to be sea day. We were supposed to dock in Grundarfjörður; however on embarkation day we were informed that we would be skipping this port due to inclement weather. I was, naturally, quite disappointed at the cancellation. However, as I found out at the end of this day that a relaxing sea day was what the doctor ordered after my little fall yesterday.

I wrote in my journal: Had the most satisfying sleep in a very long time. I think I woke up at 11 am and by 1 pm we were getting lunch.

I had the fish sandwich while the husband had a burger.

It was a chill day for us. We spent the rest of the day listening to music and going for walks around Deck 7, my favorite walking spot. We attended a lecture on language by Dr. Alan Burns.

We went to the Asian restaurant for dinner. Perhaps our taste have changed because we used to be easier to impress food-wise, not anymore.

I do like that they have reduced the portion size so that there will be less waste.

I don't know if I ever will be able to afford this Romero Britto sculpture.

We didn't see a full sunset show because we were at dinner. By the time we got back on Deck 7, it was around 9:30 pm and we captured the following:

We have a big day tomorrow so we went to bed early.
