Caribbean Cruise (February) 2025: Puerto Rico, Day 2
Brilliant sunshine flooded the city, as one would expect in Puerto Rico, on Day 2. It was such a glorious morning that we lingered over breakfast and then seemed unwilling to move. We dilly-dallied and chit-chatted until the very last minute that we were legally allowed on the AirBnB.
This was embarkation day. In addition to that, we only wanted very much to see what we call "the umbrella street". Every major city seem to have one of those. The umbrella street here is Calle de la Fortaleza which is located in the Old San Juan. So when we left the AirBnB we drove straight to old town to check it out.
We drove twice around old town following the GPS, but we couldn't find it. It was then that we received a text from our other travelmates informing us that they were waiting for us at the port. I was the one that was keen on finding the street, so I was the one who decided not to pursue the search and just head to the port, which apparently is, unbeknownst to me, just a spit away from where we were.
Once we got settled, we did what you'd expect a cruiser would do - we went to get something to eat and drink and found a spot to watch the city from the ship.
And as we sail out that evening, I made sure I had a good spot to take photos.
We went to watch a little comedy that night.
The cruise begins.

I like the blue doorway colour and architecture patterns around it, the pink building is lovely and cheerful.
